REYNA'S CLASSIC COLLECTION 1870-1891' Apothecary Inhaler Replica, Maw's Double-Valved Earthenware Inhaler click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge apothecary replica: 1870-1891' Maw's Double-Valved Earthenware Inhaler The 19th century was the golden age of the inhaler, many were patented before 1900. The best known design was originally made by Dr. Nelson, an upright, pear shaped vessel with a separate mouthpiece and an air-inlet at the side. The whole device was made of glazed earthenware but the mouthpiece was made of glass, fitted into a cork in the neck. In 1866, Maws improved the basic model and introduced this variation. This is a model of the famous "Double-Valved" earthenware inhaler first marketed by S . Maw & Son of London. It is 8 1/2"T x 4"W and in Very Good Condition. It is 2 separate pieces, the mouthpiece is non-functional, made for display not for actual use. ***** I am striving to make 100% of my customers repeat customers, happy to buy from me again. The posted photos are fair representations of our items. I GUARANTEE EVERYTHING I SELL AS DESCRIBED. I try to be as clear as possible as to the exact condition of each item. If the item is silverplate, there may be some minor wear or pitting, etc... that I may have failed to mention because it is so minor or superficial that it is to be expected on plated pieces made over 100 years ago. This is why I give you the following descriptions to explain what I see as excellent, very good, good, fair and poor. The silverplate piece is in EXCELLENT condition if: you can not tell whether it has ever been used, so it looks like new, VERY GOOD condition if: piece has tiny superficial wear, but no major dings, dents or plate loss, GOOD condition if: piece has superficial wear, or little plate loss, small dings or dents, FAIR condition if: piece has some obvious plate loss, dings, dents or pitting, POOR condition if: piece has obvious large plate loss, structural damage, large dings or dents. If the item fails to be as described, I must be notified by email within 3(three) days of its receipt and returned to me at my address within 10(ten) days of the items delivery to you. The item must be shipped, fully insured, and received in undamaged, "as sold" condition. When I receive the returned item in 'as sold' condition, a refund of the price of the item will be issued. Please pay with Paypal or money orders only. PACKING: I pack very carefully and ship quickly. I ship only to the U.S. and Canada. Payments must be received within 7 days. SHIPPING: Shipping costs are listed at the bottom of the page. Please use the zipcode calculator below to check options available. I ship via UPS and USPS Priority Mail or First Class. Items paid via Paypal ship to your "confirmed address". Multiple items may be combined to save on shipping charges unless the items are to delicate or heavy to ship together. I will e-mail you if I believe that to be the case. INSURANCE: I would prefer to ship with insurance. Generally, insurance benefits you so that no matter what occurs with shipping, you would recieve what you paid for or what you paid. Rarely, I insist on insurance due to the delicacy of an item. txzj pxzj2040 txzj5 txzj71
