Description
"The Ten Eyck Silversmiths" By George Barton Cutten.  Reprinted from the December, 1942 issue of The Magazine Antiques. An important piece of research which unraveled the “tangled web” of the 17th and 18th century Ten Eyck silversmiths. This offprint also includes “More Ten Eyck Silversmiths”, from the April, 1944 issue of Antiques. A scarce Cutten offprint. George Barton Cutten, long an enthusiast and researcher of New York area silversmiths, retired from his post as President of Colgate University in 1942 and moved to Chapel Hill. He also wrote histories of silversmithing in Georgia and Virginia.  Softcover. 6”x10”, 18 pages, black & white illustrations. A little wear, but a very nice, clean pamphlet. - QUESTIONS about this item? If you have any questions regarding this item, please let us know and we will respond promptly.
