This wonderful Chinese Fitzhugh basket and under plate are decorated with green enamel painted floral designs. The basket has multicolored openwork sides with the under plate having a matching openwork border. It dates from the late 18th to the early 19th Century and the basket itself measures 3 + 5/8 inches deep by 10 + 5/8 inches across and 9 + ¾ inches across. The under plate measures 11 + 3/8 inches long by 10 inches wide. It is in excellen condition with the exception of some minor wear inside the basket and on the under plate where the basket rests. Also there is one very fine age line coming off from the edge of the rim of the under plate. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance Charges will be paid by Buyer. Insurance is optional, but highly recommended, as we will not be responsible for any loss or damage on uninsured items.
