Click HERE for our other AUCTIONS Japanese Bronze Vase by Shinzan Shindo Click on the thumbnails to view enlargements Estimated from late 19th to early 20th century, Japanese Bronze Vase featuring elaborate motif of playing children called Karako, design used in many japanese traditional craft. This was made by Shinzan Shindo from Sado prefecture and an apprentice of Takusai Honma (1809 - 1891), one of the most famous and important bronze artists in Late edo to early Meiji era. His work can show much influence from Takusai Honma. Shinzan mark is located near the bottom. Fine in condition.
